Today I have an opinion piece in The Age. It deals with many of the themes that are exercising New Mandala readers in the wake of Yingluck and Thaksin Shinawatra’s July 2011 election victory. My final line was cut from the version published in the paper but I should repeat it here to see what readers think. I suggested:

For peace in Thailand she [Yingluck Shinawatra] will need to begin by limiting the ambitions of her brother and providing the palace and military elites with reason to trust her leadership.

There is much more that will be said on all of these topics. As always we welcome your comments at New Mandala.
