As part of its global reporting brief, Reuters produces regular risk assessments. They are written with an investor slant and, as such, often provide compelling synthesis. Back in December I noted one of the key themes of their Thai political risk assessment: Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn and succession. Reuters has now updated its Thailand assessment. There is only one major revision. In the list of the “five political risks to watch” the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate has now been replaced with “the threat of a coup”.
