Helene Maria Kyed is an anthropologist and Senior Researcher at the Danish Institute for International Studies. Her research focuses on everyday justice and security in conflict-affected contexts, exploring theoretical questions of sovereignty, legal pluralism, and dispute resolution. Since 2021 she has coordinated a project on the climate change politics and conflict dynamics and studied soldier defections in Myanmar. Her most recent book "Everyday Justice in Myanmar" is available through NIAS Press.
