Ngo Sheau-Shi is a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)’s School of Communication. She is currently the Malaysian Academic Movement (GERAK) Treasurer. Her areas of research are women, ethnicity, class, culture and media in Malaysian and Asian screen. Her latest publication on Kpop’s ownership appear in the journal “Media, Culture & Society” (2024). Her forthcoming co-authored book, "Ivory Tower Reform: Higher Education in Malaysia", will be published by Strategic Information and Research Development (SIRD) in 2025.
