Panggah Ardiyansyah is a Research Associate at the Digital Humanities Institute, University of Sheffield. He completed his PhD in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS University of London, focusing on “Hindu–Buddhist” materials, from their origins in ancient Indonesia to their transforming status as “Islamic” constructions in later times. In his broader practice, Panggah thinks about decoloniality and knowledge production particularly from the local paradigms of restitution of Southeast Asian art.
