If you turned to Thai TV shortly before 8PM tonight, you’d have seen two soap operas, one game shows, one talk show about food, a tennis match, and the official ceremony welcoming a Thai royal visitor to Berlin. Of eight TV channels on the satellite feed , one channel dif feature two ladies in pink blouses bouncing “kahs’ off each other, reading furiously from approved scripts, without a single video or photo. I have seen better new coverage in Burma.

Hi Srithanoncha, maybe it depends on the provider you have. Right now, at almost 8 pm, I can still access http://www.thaienews.blogspot.com/ and am now listening to Veera addressing the crowd.

I won’t tell you the name of my provider otherwise ICT Ranongrak will also block it.

Earlier I gave the above URL to a friend in Chiengmai and she cannot access it.

Btw, Nathawut interrupted saying that Phanfa is being attacked with tear gas thrown by a helicopter. Veera now allows UDD int’l spokesman Sean to speak in English, demanding the resignation of Abhisit after failing to disperse the reds.

Looking at the way things are going, it probably wouldn’t be too far fetched to imagine Abhiset buying a hotel in Montenegro. As Red Shirt God Number 1, 2 or 3 said , he may have to resign. Given that the civil service, army and police are ridden with people who have received the Thaksin bribery, it wouldn’t really be too much of a stretched imagination to suppose a counter coup headed by General Chaiyasit Shinawatra. A nasty piece of capitalist work, if ever I knew one. It looks like the armed forces are on the point of capitulation. On the people’s side or just a bunch of bribed flip-flops? No steely resolve obvious, fer sure!

More people were injured in a clash on Saturday between troops and red-shirted protesters at Khok Wua intersection on Ratchadamnoen avenue, adding up the number of wounded to 140, police reported.

The clash took place at about 7pm as the soldiers tried to push the protesters to withdraw to Phan Fa bridge.

The soldiers hurled tear gas canisters and fired rubber bullets at the red shirts, who threw hard objects at the troops.

At about the same time, two tear gas canisters were dropped from a helicopter hovering over the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship’s stage at Phan Fa bridge.

The red shirts were last reported to have been pushed from Khok Wua intersection to the Democracy Monument.

The latest number of injured people rose to 140, according to the Public Health Ministry.
