Spare a thought for the doctors and nurses who have to reassemble the bits of those driven crazy by the Thai capitalist sausage machine. That’s the way to do it! Pure Punch & Judy!

What do you expect from the police and the army? Everyone knows they are useless. That is precisely what their comrade in corruption is banking on. In other words, it takes corruption to defeat corruption. Hardly a shining example of democracy by either side.

Which is precisely why readers here should be taking the longer term view that this is an utterly senseless conflict in which most Thais only stand to lose. But of course, you don’t really care what they think, do you? You are all too busy playing virtual revolution on Twitter, safely tucked away in your apartments and Political Science Faculties. Playing out your ridiculous fantasies of what you were actually incapable of acheiving in your own countries. Take it from one who knows the bottom of the heep in Europe. The societies that you live in are no shining example either.

Just got back from Ploen Chit. Reds “chased out” riot cops, who appeared sympathetic. Lots of cops high-fiving and waving foot clappers.

(not a good sign for the present government and one more reason for them to “control” the information flow to the Thai population and the world)

The worldwide information tsunami that is now pouring out of Thailand through all the world’s tv/newspaper/wire service/social networking sites and websites is building into a gigantic and fearful wall that will engulf any government spokespersons who get in its way…….

It’s Saturday afternoon in most of the world and the 24 hour news channels are hungry for “action” footage and something to satisfy their insatiable appetites on an otherwise “slow news day”.

What “genius” in the present Thai government decided that broad daylight on a sunny Saturday afternoon was the optimum moment to launch a massive military crackdown on tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of more-or-less unarmed and more-or-less non-violent demonstrators in full view of thousands of witnesses armed with digital cameras, video cameras, mobile phone cameras and endless access to the internet and world wide web?

Even the Abhisit-controlled NBT TV station admitted a few minutes ago that red shirts in Chiengmai are surrounding NBT station in Chiengmai while the provincial hall of Udorn Thani has just been seized.

Another few minutes before Abhisit’s self-imposed deadline to capture Phanfa and Rajprasong stages at 6 pm, which is now an impossible task due to the presence of hundreds of thousands of red shirts, one advice I can give him and his ilk is that you can now start packing your suitcase for overseas exile.
