The illustrated reports of Bangkok-based photo-journalist Nick Nostitz have earned him high regard since he started contributing to New Mandala back in July 2008. His unique accounts of politics through the recent years of turmoil in Thailand have included some of the most widely read (and commented on) descriptions of the major events (such as this one and this one).

In the past I have described this work as “peerless blow-by-blow coverage”. Of course, his writings and photographs about this dramatic period of Thai history have also now appeared, as befits their quality, in a handsome printed volume.

Over recent weeks, Nick Nostitz has been out on the streets of Bangkok taking pictures and collecting his thoughts about the ongoing Red protests. New Mandala will publish the first component of his most recent reflections tomorrow, Thursday, 25 March 2010. It will be well worth your time and consideration.
