Nursyazwani is a Research Associate at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. She completed her M.Soc.Sci. in the Department of Sociology at the National University of Singapore. Her Master’s research discusses the co-construction of refugee legibility among Rohingya in Malaysia based on fieldwork since 2017.

Elliott Prasse-Freeman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology/Anthropology at NUS. He received his PhD from the Department of Anthropology at Yale University and is currently studying Rohingya political subjectivity amid dislocation and mass violence.
