Simon Butt is Director of the Centre for Asian and Pacific Law and Professor at the Sydney Law School, University of Sydney. Tim Lindsey is Malcolm Smith Chair in Asian Law and Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor at Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. They have published extensively on the legal system of Indonesia and its politics, including in their co-authored books “Indonesian Law” (Oxford University Press, 2018) and “The Constitution of Indonesia: A Contextual Analysis” (Hart, 2012). Their co-edited “Routledge Handbook of Indonesian Law” is available from June 2026.
