Seth Soderborg holds a PhD from the Department of Government at Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. His doctoral research, drawing on evidence from Latin America and Southeast Asia, examines how partisanship can emerge from effective organising in the absence of well-defined ideological competition. Burhanuddin Muhtadi is Professor at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and Executive Director of Indikator Politik Indonesia.
