Prof Angie Ngọc Trần teaches political economy and global studies at California State Monterey Bay (USA). She focuses on labour movements in Vietnam, transnational labour migration and worker resistance. She publishes on Vietnamese workers in Malaysia and their empowerment, and domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. She researches Mexican guest workers harvesting crops in California for future comparative study on labour migration, gender, ethnicity, and agency. Sara Đoàn is an undergraduate student of U.S. & International Law at Handong Global University in South Korea, and is currently a research assistant to Prof Trần on Vietnamese migrant labour.
