Mohani, I gladens my heart when I see a bumi succeeds. Keep an open mind, mix well and I am sure the sky is the limit and I am sure you will contribute to our vision 2020 goals. I wish you all the best.
Really? Assuming you are one, it is no wonder I have trouble finding an acceptable Bumi graduate. Please check out the KLSE (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) if you do not know what KLSE is. The KLSE index is made up of 40 top companies. Please check to see how many of those are controlled by Chinese Malaysian, before you make that statement “again”
BTW, it is easier to write “Chinese bashing” nonsense, BN cyber trooper style in a forum, no one reads.
IMO, every newspaper/publications/internet blogs/etc should republish the cartoons of French weekly Charlie Hebdo in support of freedom expression and condemnation of any form of coercion that would limit such, including terror attacks from any extremist groups.
Michael- you sound like a racist moron. Chinese won’t work in the army or social services because these jobs don’t pay much money, they prefer dealing in illegal activities such as gambling, prostitution etc . Malays contribute much to This country. Than other races and kaum pendatang should be grateful
Given that Raymond Ibrahim, an Egyptian-American Coptic Christian, suffered persecution (along with his family) at the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, prior to leaving Egypt, I should think he does indeed have a rather accurate perspective on extremist Islam of the Wahhabi and Salafi varieties.
the quality of school education needs improvement. It deprives students of all races of quality thinking that proves a setback at univ level. Im a bumiputra student who excelled in school and univ but notice that places in private organisations turn their back on Bumi graduates for certain reasons which have nothing to do with lack of qualification

Raymond Ibrahim, an author and frequent critic of Islam, argues that, based largely on that verse, “Islam’s learned officials, sheikhs, muftis, and imams throughout the ages have all reached consensus — binding on the entire Muslim community — that Islam is to be at perpetual war with the non-Muslim world until the former subsumes the latter.”

Unfortunately in Malaysia it has become a race as to who is a so-called better Muslim. Sometimes this could take the form of who wears TRUE Muslim robes or who wears the proper Muslim head coverings and longest beards etc.. As the competitions drag on, the antics is upped graduating from just being a Sunni to Salafism and to I am sure finally Wahhabism. On the way they condemn everyone else Sufis ,Shias, Ahmadis, Christians etc. They do not seem to condemn the corrupt officials in Government and elsewhere. Their antics also diverts peoples attention away from their misrule.
How many % of the total graduates are non Malays and the statistics include those who stayed back or went overseas to find work? IMO, a significant % non Malay graduates fall into these two categories which could help the large % of unemployed Malay graduates.
Sad to say Glovak, you write as if the world owes you a living. Malaysian companies should also look up to you, because you graduated from the US.
You said, you aced all the interviews? Obviously that is just a delusion of grandeur. Anyone who aced an interview will always get the job. Get down from your imaginary high horse for a bit, and perhaps, you will do better.
Hai Greg,
I would venture that Glovak has basically no “Engineering” skills. Loads of jobs for real engineering graduates. Fresh grad pay between RM$2.5 – RM$3.2K / mth in Klang Valley at the moment. (year 2014)
I am a Bumi and I got a my first real job right after my internship which we had to do after our last class ended. Having a good grasp of the English language helped – so did previous internships and jobs. Starting early works, and having the right industry connections. By the way, I graduated with a degree in journalism from an Australian uni but which I did locally.

Could it be that, you think the “private” organisation owes you special privileges, like the Govt?
Please give others who are struggling and are discriminated against by the Govt a chance, PLEASE!
If you think, there is no institutionalized discrimination in Malaysia, then you are NOT as good a student as you think!

Well Peter,
I still can get to my golf club, so I will hold off the “failed state” judgement for a bit.
BTW, it is not just Mahathir, but almost the entire UMNO leadership that has expressed no “real” remorse, but try to put the blame on the victims.
