The fact that no core UDD leaders were at the rally a few days back and the report that, assuming it is true, UDD is playing a wait-and-see game, do not mean there is no UDD involvement. It’d be foolish for any core leaders (who have now been elevated to plush gov’ment jobs) to appear anywhere near the court. Common sense. It just annoys the socialist out of me that people like to equate democracy with elections. Votes are important, no doubt, it’s the people’s mandate. But democracy also means respects for fellow citizens. What I see is this government, just like most government here, esp. the one before the coup, smashing all dissents. Same same but different.
Back to the topic of the article, it is a fact that BN has fared worse in this election which means BN has lost popularity under his leadership. That is a strong basis for his partymates to demand his resignation

I think the middle class Malaysians are better educated and have a different set of expectations regardless of their different ethnic and religious backgrounds. Particularly through the internet, the traditional barriers become less relevant. They can work together to acheive some commong goals. That’s on the optimistic side. If the Chinese and Indians are not given a fairer treatment and opportunties to advance, they will leave in despondence.
This goes out to Ruth who says that “I for one do not want change”
So I guess you are accepting the following:
1)high levels of corruption
2)disregard to an independent judiciary system
3)murder of a Mongolian lady whereby the courts say that there is no need for a motive to exist
4) disregard for an independent police force

How Malays voted at GE13
Very fine analysis. These messages need to be gotten across to the people.

I think its pretty clear by now that the PTP, the UDD and the typical New Madalalite have as many deomcratic impulses as Vladmir Putin’s left bollock.

I asked ‘and what does the malay s want?’
apa pulak Melayu mahu?
I got this answer
CHANGE Malaysian media censorship into more like the free Singaporean Media!
CHANGE corruption leaders into more like that practiced by Indonesian politicians
CHANGE economic inequality into what we see in the cities of Luzon
CHANGE racial equality into the one practiced in Australia
