Who cares for Amsterdam and his grandstanding for Thaksin???? Every Thai, including myself, have flood concerns to prioritize.

Perhaps Amsterdam would also like to talk about those who slash-&-burn forests, build shoddy developments that impede natural drainage, put major housing & industrial estates in slightly earthed over paddies. and build thin-skinned flood defenses as a mean to fill their pockets. Pull your finger out Robert! You haven’t even remotely got your feet wet yet.

I’m not a Thai and Vichai is. However, it is the most presumptuous arrogance on his part to define the priorities of the Thai people as a whole and it is a piece of sheer and despicable opportunism to use the flood tragedy to do so.

Goodness Dan, Amsterdam did mention floods and getting his feet wet. I suspect that he carefully and accurately assessed the topics you mention he might face more LM charges.

If it was NOT clear to Tom Hoy, or the others who continue to hold their breath waiting for Amsterdam-Thaksin to do or say whatever, the flood victims of Thailand (as well as other countries) have other priorities.

Send your donations or whatever . . . Amsterdam-Thaksin could wait.

I will just repost my comment, Vichai, because you have not answered it in any way.

Tom Hoy: It might also be presumptuous of you to assume Vichai N is Thai.
What does Colonel Jeru have to say? 🙂

I’m just taking Vichai at his word. he says he’s Thai so I’m happy to accept that.

As a non-Thai, who is extremely concerned with the floods & also “cares for” what Amsterdam says, I have to agree with Tom Hoy. Vichai/Colonel Jeru (I seem to remember that he’s been ‘outed’ as a non-Thai) seems to think that Thai people are obsessive & have one-track minds. I think he should stop judging others by his own very low standard of intellect, & get out amongst the people more. While Amsterdam’s speech is a very clever piece of rhetoric, given his audience (well, he IS a lawyer), I can’t fault it. He tells the truth regarding the ‘Democrats’ & their controllers (the army), about Suthep, & about who gave the orders for the massacre. We all knew this already. If Vichai N wants to carry on about the floods, let him blast the Democrat (not) govt for not listening to their ‘experts’, and doing something to avert the disaster when they could have.

re. my last point: I’d be interested to know why they did nothing. It seems extremely sinister to me. After all, it was pretty clear they didn’t stand much chance of getting in.

This latest clip may further infuriate Vichai/Col. Jeru as Bob Amsterdam openly talked about Thaksin and the Democrat Party. You will also notice the two ladies’ reactions to Bob’s views:

What is missing is a disclosure by Amsterdam of how much is fee was for this heart string tugging presentation and details of his work permit, licence to practice law in Thailand and payment of Thai tax on his fees earned here.
